Firstly, I would like to acknowledge the dedication and efforts of everyone for their time and commitment to this season.Thank you to those who were back-filling and stepping in for each other, on the court and around the sidelines. Looking back over the course of our 2017 Murray Netball League season, I think it is fair to say this was a really challenging season across a number of aspects of the club — but not without some highlights.
Although we experienced many losses across netball, the wins we did get were all the more sweeter and it was really inspiring to watch teams come together and play some excellent netball.
In our juniors, Brad Armstrong — in his second year of coaching — led our under-12s through a great season, making their way to the first elimination final.
We congratulate Wytasie Walker and Tui Crumpen for their representation in Murray Netball League teams and Yilanii Atkinson, placing 10th in the MNL vote count. I look forward to 2018 and reconnecting with everyone at the best club in the country.
